COLLECTIONS 01

A pop up exhibition featuring 30 of the works I’ve collected over the years....

Collections charts the course of No Walls back to before we launched as a pop up gallery in 2008 at the Old Truman Brewery with Ben Frost’s first UK show, through to the more recent shows here in Brighton, and features work by some of the incredible artists I've had the pleasure of working with, including Ben Frost, Hattie Stewart, Mr Penfold, Hayden Kays, Jim McElvaney, Lucy Sparrow, Megamunden, Imbue and Sickboy along with some rare works by Banksy and KAWS.

I always made a point of buying work from our artists, both to show support for them and also to create a collection of works that would tell the story of the gallery through the years. Recently though, I’ve been trying to de-clutter and live with fewer possessions. This show is a chance to bring some of my collection together in the gallery and reflect on the last few years. Along with work by gallery artists, I’ve included a few works that haven’t been part of the No Walls story but which represent the kind of work I’m into.

The idea for this came about back in May when Andy Doig’s Sick Interiors pop up got me thinking about doing something similar with some of my art collection. With family and other projects taking precedence over the last 12 months, it's been a while since we did anything in the gallery but this week became available unexpectedly the other day and I decided to take the opportunity to do it. With the limited time available, I've decided to focus on including only smaller works.

Collections will run from Wednesday 7th to Sunday 12th and will be open to the public Wednesday to Saturday 12-6 and Sunday, 12-4. All purchases will be shipped on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th of December.

All of the work is now available to buy in the online shop.
